Attention Voters!

General Election - Tuesday, November 5, 2024 Information

 

  • Yavapai County Recorder Michelle Burchill would like to remind voters about important information regarding the upcoming 2024 General Election being held Tuesday, November 5, 2024.
  • All registered voters are eligible to vote in the 2024 General Election.
  • To be eligible to vote, you must register/update your voter information by Monday, October 7, 2024. To register in person, please visit the Yavapai County Recorder’s Office at 1015 Fair St. Rm 228 in Prescott, or 10 S. 6th in Cottonwood, Monday – Friday 8:00am to 5:00pm. Or you may register online at www.servicearizona.com.
  • Election material cannot be forwarded. If you have changes to your residential or mailing address, please contact our office at 928-771-3248 ext. 9 or visit servicearizona.com to update your voter registration by Monday, October 7, 2024.
  • Ballots will be mailed to voters requesting a ballot-by-mail on Wednesday, October 9, 2024. Be sure to sign youraffidavit envelope in your original handwriting.
  • Voters may vote early in-person beginning Wednesday, October 9, 2024 at the Yavapai County Recorder’s Office 1015 Fair St. in Prescott, or 10 S. 6th in Cottonwood Monday – Friday 8:00am – 5:00pm, and in Prescott Valley 7351 E Skoog Blvd, from 9:00am – 4:00pm, Monday – Friday.
  • The last day to request an early ballot-by-mail is Friday, October 25, 2024. Visit arizona.vote to request a one-time early ballot or call 928-771-3248 ext. 9.
  • To ensure your ballot is received on-time, consider using one of our 19 Official Drop Boxes located throughout the county. This saves our county 68¢ per ballot in tax dollars. Visit gov for locations. DO NOT mail your voted ballot back after Tuesday, October 29, 2024. Late ballots will not be tabulated.
  • Any voters voting in person will need to present proper identification. Visit YavapaiVotes.gov for Vote Center locations and identification requirements.
  • Voters needing special accommodations, call 928-771-3248 ext. 9 or e-mail us at voter.registration@yavapaiAZ.gov

Town of Jerome 2024 Candidate Information

The following individuals have completed and filed a Statement of Interest form, along with submitting the requisite number of signature petitions to the Town of Jerome Clerk.  Therefore, they will appear on the ballot for the July 30, 2024, primary election.  There is also one write-in candidate who has completed the Write-in Nomination Paper Declaration of Qualification.

All five (5) Town Council Member seats are up for election every two years.  The Town of Jerome does not specifically elect a mayor.  The mayor is selected by the Council within twenty (20) days of the election.

General information:

Elections for Councilmembers are held in even-numbered years. Our primary election takes place in July and the general election takes place on the first Tuesday after the first Monday in November. 

The deadline to update your voter registration or register to vote in an upcoming election is midnight on the 29th day before the election.
