Avoid freezing pipes!

Now that winter is upon us, our Public Works department would like to remind you to avoid frozen pipes by leaving a tap dripping whenever temperatures dip below freezing. When it's bitter cold outside, start a drip of water from all faucets served by exposed pipes. Leaving a few faucets running slightly will also relieve pressure inside the pipes and help prevent a rupture in the event that the water inside freezes. Also, a reminder that the Fire Station will act as a warming center on the occasions of bitter cold weather. The Town will put out communication in those instances.
