Notice of Jerome Town Council Vacancy and Intent to Appoint

Please take notice that a vacancy exists on the Town Council for the Town of Jerome due to the recent resignation of Councilmember Sage Harvey.  In accordance with State law, the Town Council will fill this vacancy by appointment for the remainder of the term until the November, 2024, General Election.  To qualify for consideration candidates must be a qualified elector of the Town of Jerome; must be 18 years of age or older; and must have resided within the incorporated limits of the Town of Jerome for one-year preceding the appointment. 

To be considered you must submit a letter of interest to the Town Clerk’s Office by April 15, 2024.  Topics to include in your letter of interest could include what your interest is in serving on the Jerome Town Council and why you feel you are qualified; how long you have lived in the Town of Jerome and a summary of your community involvement; what you feel are the most significant issues the Town of Jerome is facing currently and in the next couple of years; and any other information you would like to share that you believe will assist the Town Council in considering your candidacy.

The Town Council conducts regular Town Council meetings on the second Tuesday of the month beginning at 7:00 p.m. and holds various special council meetings and workshops from time-to-time as needed.  Jerome Town Council Members receive no pay nor any benefits or other compensation.  This is a strictly voluntary position.  If you have any questions, please contact Town Manager / Clerk Brett Klein at (928) 634-7943.  Thank you for your interest.
